Role description
Housing and Transport are seeking to establish a pool of Coordinators Housing and Transport for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2026 and up to the end of July, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Housing and Transport team is part of Staffing Services. It is responsible for the provision of related support services to staff in rural and remote areas. These services include provision of subsidised Government Regional Officers’ Housing (GROH) to teachers, providing for the relocation of staff furniture and motor vehicles, and payment of associated allowances.
The Role
Suitable applicants will assist the Principal Consultant, Housing and Transport in the provision of quality services. They will maintain their own region-based housing portfolio, lead their team members in maintaining theirs, resolve their escalated issues, and provide support and advice to customers.
Coordinators ensure the efficient and appropriate allocation of housing and relocations to teachers, while maintaining quality of service. They create and maintain work processes, are responsible for small projects, supervise the conduct of annual tenant rent adjustments, and ensure the compliance of property management activities that are agreed between the Department and GROH. Coordinators ensure the reconciliation of rent received from tenants, and of GROH charges for properties allocated to the Department.
