Grounds & Maintenance Officer | St Joseph's CPS, Oberon
Co-educational, years K-6
Permanent Part-time Position, 30 hours per fortnight
Commencing: 27 July 2026 

We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and proactive Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join the supportive team at St Joseph's CPS, Oberon. The Grounds and Maintenance Officer plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the school by ensuring the grounds, facilities and learning environments are safe, well-maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

This position contributes to the overall presentation and functionality of the school environment and helps create a positive first impression for the broader school community. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the School Principal and will be responsible for a range of grounds, maintenance and general operational duties.

We are seeking a Grounds and Maintenance Officer who can support the effective operation of the school by:

  • Maintaining and caring for lawns, gardens, sporting ovals, grounds and outdoor spaces.

  • Preparing ovals and sporting areas for school events, carnivals and other activities as required.

  • Safely operating and maintaining machinery and equipment relevant to the role.

  • Assisting with general maintenance tasks across buildings, furniture, equipment and school facilities.

  • Supporting the cleanliness, good order and presentation of grounds, storage areas and maintenance workspaces.
