Role description


This is a 36 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026

The Role

Marble Bar PS is seeking a highly effective and relationship-focused teacher who is committed to achieving positive outcomes for students in a remote Aboriginal community setting

We are looking for an applicant who will ideally:

  • Display the ability to deliver high-quality literacy instruction using evidence-based approaches, including Letters and Sounds, Heggerty, and the Talk for Writing process
  • Be capable of implementing explicit teaching practices that support students with a wide range of learning needs and levels of achievement
  • Have experience in, or a willingness to learn, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), restorative practices, trauma-informed approaches, and social-emotional learning strategies.
