Role description
We have 2 x permanent full-time positions commencing as soon as possible
Roebourne District High School (DHS) situated in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, serves a dynamic and culturally rich community. Our school is deeply connected to the land and the local Aboriginal culture that has shaped this region for thousands of years. The school sits on Ngarluma Ngurra, the Country of the Ngarluma people, and many of our students come from the Ngarluma, Yindjibarndi and Banyjima language groups.
Roebourne DHS provides a continuous and supportive educational journey for students from KindiLink through to Year 12. Our school is unique in its ability to offer students the chance to grow and develop in a familiar and culturally responsive environment throughout their entire schooling experience. This continuity enables us to build strong, lasting relationships with students and their families. We are able to deeply personalise the educational experiences for all of or students in our small school community.
Our community is predominantly Aboriginal, with many of our families speaking Aboriginal English or traditional languages as their first language. We are committed to delivering education that is culturally respectful and meaningful. Our teaching practices focus on developing essential academic skills and knowledge, whilst also reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students, ensuring that learning is inclusive and honours the knowledge, traditions, and values of our community.
Find out more about our school at Schools Online or at Roebourne DHS.
