Role description

St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra is a Catholic co-educational school situated in the Shoalhaven area and part of the Diocese of Wollongong. Founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan. The school provides a wide curriculum to approximately 935 students as we strive for academic success while offering many sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. Our motto, Pax Christi – (Peace of Christ) is lived throughout the school as we strive to have peace in our hearts, be peace makers, both within the school and the wider community. Our understanding of the Peace of Christ and its implication for living will have an influence on the world at large and on our lives as individuals.

The Executive Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from suitably experienced educators for this significant leadership position at St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra commencing 27 January 2027. This successful candidate will be appointed to this position for a three year contract period. 

The Director of Mission and Identity (Middle Leader 3pt) shares responsibility for the development of the Catholic life of the school, leadership of its vision, mission and strategic priorities and contribution to the management of the school. The successful candidate will:
