Role description
About the role
St John's Primary School Mitcham is a welcoming and connected community, nurturing student engagement and a strong sense of belonging. We work together with families and the community, to educate the whole child emotionally, academically, socially and spiritually. St John’s Mitcham is dedicated to providing a rich and diverse curriculum that encourages a love of learning. We are currently seeking a Learning Support Officer to join our vibrant team.
Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims of Catholic Education.
Please note that this is a Part-time fixed term position commencing 20 July, 2026 until 16 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to work from 8.50am to 3.20pm Monday to Friday.
The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with MACS policy.
Special Requirements
- Applicants must have a current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
- Ideally the successful applicant will have experience working with students who have various additional needs and be trained in behaviour management strategies.
- Appropriate qualifications, experience and training as a Learning Support Officer.
