We are seeking an experienced and proactive WHS Coordinator to join our team and lead our work health and safety practices with professionalism, care, and initiative.

About the Role

The WHS Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a safe, supportive, and compliant school environment. This position is responsible for coordinating WHS systems, ensuring legislative compliance, and promoting a culture of safety across the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Management — Identify, assess, and monitor workplace hazards, implementing effective controls.
  • Incident Reporting — Oversee incident investigations, documentation, and follow‑up actions.
  • Compliance Oversight — Ensure adherence to WHS legislation, Catholic Education SA policies, and school procedures.
  • Training & Induction — Deliver WHS inductions and coordinate ongoing staff training.
  • Emergency Preparedness — Maintain emergency plans, drills, and response procedures.
  • Safety Culture — Champion safe work practices and support staff in meeting WHS expectations.

  • WHS qualifications or working towards these
