Education Support Officer

St Joseph's School, Clare, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Education Support Officer (Curriculum) to work during the hours of 9am - 3:00pm, 5 days per week for Semester 2, 2026 (20 July - 11 December 2026).

As an Education Support Officer (Curriculum) you will:

• Assist students (individuals and/or small groups) with in-class learning, using prepared and structured programs developed by teachers
• Carry out a wide variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (eg: assisting teachers in preparing and implementing classroom activities and/or intervention programs)
• Assist teachers with the care of students on excursions, as required
• Promote student responsibility (Rec to Yr 9), through an ability to make children's learning fun and enjoyable
• Assist in daily administrative operations
• Be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Be prepared to be a collaborative member of our ESO Curriculum team
• Have a positive outlook, flexibility and be able to juggle multiple tasks with ease
• Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity, faith formation and Josephite Charism of the school and parish community
• Be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.

The successful candidate will have:

• Certificate Ill in Education Support (or equivalent) and/or have relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role.
• Current Working with Children Clearance
• Catholic Clearance to undertake paid work in a Catholic School
• Responding to the Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect Training- Education (RRHAN-EC)
