Role description
Kenmore Park Anangu School is a small bilingual school located in Yunyarinyi on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands of far north-west South Australia.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative teacher to join our dynamic curriculum team as we continue to strengthen and implement our bilingual education policy across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher interested in EALD, language learning, curriculum innovation and culturally responsive education.
Working alongside experienced Anangu Educators and colleagues, you will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality bilingual learning programs that connect language, culture, Country and the Australian Curriculum. Experience in this is not necessary but a willingness to learn is.
Teachers at Kenmore Park are active curriculum designers who work collaboratively to develop engaging, culturally responsive learning experiences that support positive outcomes for Anangu students.
About the Role
You will primarily teach across our primary years levels with a focus on early years.
Our curriculum includes:
-English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD)
-Mathematics
-Science, including Two-Way Science approaches
-Pitjantjatjara Language and Culture
-Learning on Country
-Geography, HASS and integrated inquiry learning
-Arts and wellbeing programs
As a member of our teaching team, you will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design and the ongoing development of bilingual programs across the school.
