Role description
As a Tailored Learning Support Officer, you work collaboratively and strategically with leaders, teachers, youth workers, case managers, families and external agencies ensuring a consistent and inclusive approach focused on student presence, participation, engagement and progress.
Working within the Tailored Learning team, you contribute to a culture of inclusion, wellbeing and continuous improvement. You support students with complex educational, social, emotional and behavioural needs through personalised learning support, intervention coordination and student engagement strategies.
As a future-focused paraprofessional, you confidently work as part of a multidisciplinary team or autonomously to deliver quality learning support services. The role requires initiative, sound judgement, confidentiality, adaptability and a commitment to achieving positive learning, attendance, wellbeing and transition outcomes for students.
The Tailored Learning Support Officer is accountable to the Tailored Learning Leader for assisting in the delivery of effective intervention programs and high-quality student support which contributes to improved educational outcomes for all students, including those with disabilities, challenging behaviours and barriers to engagement.
You actively participate in professional development, coaching, performance plans, review processes and collaborative planning. You strive for a high-performance culture, quality, and productivity to achieve site priorities. You exercise professionalism, discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
