Role description


This is a 6 month fixed term, part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

West Coast Language Development Centre (WCLDC) is a specialist public school that supports young students with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and significant language difficulties. We provide specialist language and academic intervention using a highly inclusive approach. WCLDC provides intensive support to develop students' oral language, literacy, communication, and social skills. Working in partnership with families and allied health professionals, the school creates a nurturing environment where every child is supported to build confidence, independence, and the skills needed to successfully engage in learning and everyday life. Staff work in a collaborative team that includes teachers, speech pathologists, school psychologist and education assistants.

Our school is located across four sites, Padbury, East Hamersley, Poseidon (Heathridge) and Quinns Beach. The successful applicant will be required to work across all four locations.
