Orara High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school serving students in Years 7 to 12, located in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The school operates according to "The Orara Way," a set of core values centred on being safe, respectful, and inclusive. These values shape the culture and daily life of the school community, with a stated aim of ensuring every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their best. Orara High School offers specialist programs in high potential and gifted education, as well as dedicated support for students with additional needs or disability, and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support. This breadth of provision reflects a school structured to meet a wide range of learner needs within a mainstream setting. Orara High School is a vibrant place of learning for over 890 students located in Coffs Harbour, Mid-North Coast, NSW. The school acknowledges that we learn and work together each day on the land of the Gumbaynggirr people.
The school is proud of the rich cultural diversity among its student body, our staff, and the school community. More than thirty languages can be heard spoken among our students and their families, with over 20% of students having a language background other than English and over 20% of students are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
