Role description

Qualified OSHC Educator

Permanent | 30 hours per week (Term Time + School Holidays)

Blackfriars Priory School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified OSHC Educator to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team. This is a permanent part-time role supporting the delivery of a high-quality, engaging and compliant care program for primary-aged children.

Working under the direction of the OSHC Director, the Educator contributes to the day-to-day operation of the service, supporting the implementation of educational and recreational programs in a safe and inclusive.

Hours of Work

  • Term time: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 9:30am and 2:00pm – 6:00pm
  • School holidays: Flexible shifts across 30 hours per week

About the Role

Under the supervision of the OSHC Director, the Qualified OSHC Educator supports the delivery of OSHC and Vacation Care programs and contributes to the safe and compliant operation of the service.

The Educator may be required to undertake the role of Responsible Person when delegated, in accordance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging and inclusive OSHC and Vacation Care programs
  • Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for children
  • Supervise and actively engage children in a safe, positive and supportive environment
  • Support inclusion of children with diverse learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and compliant service in line with the National Quality Framework
