Role description
A teacher is required to provide 1:1 support for a year 1 First Nations student who has experienced trauma. The teacher will support an SSO to also support the student. The curriculum will be created to meet the students needs with a focus on relational safety and self regulation before formal academic curriculum is implemented. Teaching will occur in the students home and in the school environment.
Questions:
Please provide evidence of strategies you have used to build relational safety with a student who has experienced significant developmental trauma
Please provide an example of how you have created a culturally responsive curriculum based on a student's strengths and developmental needs.
Please provide examples of assessment tools you have used to map progress of emotional development as well as your experience of writing and assessing One Plan goals.
