About the position
St Francis Xavier College is calling for a student-centered, dedicated, and courageous leader to inspire student growth and achievement commencing in 2027 in the position of Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching.
The successful applicant will be appointed as a full-time, ongoing classroom teacher with a three-year tenure as Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching, commencing at the start of the 2027 school year. Subject to a positive mid-term performance review in 2028, the tenure may be extended for a further three years.
The Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching position will be appointed in accordance with the DOSCEL Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022, with remuneration set at Deputy Principal Level 4 (enrolment exceeding 2500 students). The role offers a gross annual salary ranging from $192,662 to $197,784, commensurate with experience.
The Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching is accountable to the Principal and provides strategic leadership of the College’s learning and teaching program to drive excellence, equity, and continuous improvement in student learning growth.
As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching leads the development of a high-quality, inclusive, and coherent learning program across the College, ensuring consistent, data-informed practice and the application of contemporary pedagogy across campuses.
