Role description
About the role:
The College is currently recruiting for the role of a Secondary Mathematics, Science teacher within the Secondary school.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated learning experiences for all students
- Integrate Maronite Catholic ethos, values, and Gospel teachings into daily learning and school life
- Actively contribute to the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of students
- Use effective assessment practices to monitor student progress and inform teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to enhance student learning and wellbeing
- Participate in school liturgies, celebrations, and community events
Essential Selection Criteria
- Australian Teaching qualifications and previous Australian teaching experience
- A current NESA accreditation
- A current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated administrative skills, with high level of flexibility and adaptability and ability to prioritise and work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability in integrating ICT in the classroom
- Experience in using engaging and relevant learning experiences
- Experience teaching in mixed ability classrooms
- Thorough understanding and experience in applying formative and summative practices to assess student learning
The role is being offered on a temporary fixed term basis commencing ASAP until the end of 2026.
