Role description
Teaching and Learning
- Teach PDHPE subject to Years 7 to 10.
- Teach Sports Science to Years 11 and 12.
- Deliver lessons in line with the IB and NESA curriculum.
- Plan, assess, and report on student progress in accordance with College guidelines.
- Conduct practical investigations safely and effectively.
- Differentiate learning to meet individual student needs.
- Integrate digital technologies to enhance learning.
Curriculum and Assessment
- Design and evaluate teaching programs aligned with NESA outcomes and IB criteria.
- Develop learning materials that reflect current best practice in PDHPE, health literacy, and movement science.
- Create and implement formative and summative assessments for both theory and practical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of practical participation, skill progression, physical activity levels, and health learning.
- Coordinate or contribute to fitness testing and physical activity assessments.
- Support the College’s Sport and Co-Curricular Programs including weekly sport, carnivals, gala days, representative teams, and fitness programs.
- Coach school teams and lead training sessions to prepare students for competitions.
- Promote student participation in physical activity, wellbeing programs, and representative pathways.
- Assist in organising major College sport events (swimming, athletics, cross country).
- Contribute to whole-school health and wellbeing initiatives (e.g., anti-bullying programs, nutrition education, wellness campaigns).
