About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Japanese Teacher to join our Secondary Years teaching team. Join a collaborative teaching team and share your passion for teaching Japanese by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that drive strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Japanese curriculum and the College's teaching framework.
  • Identify diverse learning needs and plan experiences that enable all students to achieve success.
  • Assess and provide both positive and critical feedback that monitors progress and gives clear, actionable steps for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to be able to provide students and parents with detail and informative written and oral reports.
  • Support wellbeing and manage behaviour by building rapport, maintaining an orderly classroom, and following up concerns in line with policy.
  • Contribute to the College community and professional practice through teamwork, cocurricular involvement, administration, supervision and ongoing development.

What You Bring

  • A relevant Graduate Teaching qualification and current Queensland Teacher Registration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, and contemporary educational issues.
