French Language Assistant

The Role
Somerville House is seeking a vibrant and professional French Language Assistant to join our team for 4 hours per week during school term-time for the remainder of the 2026 academic year.

You Will

• Have the ability to speak fluent French (native speaker highly desirable).
• Build and maintain a positive working relationship with students learning French.
• Work in small groups with students for conversation practice, giving students feedback on their spoken and written language, and recording texts for use in class.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold a Working with Children paid Blue Card. Experience within a school environment would be highly advantageous.
