Role description

Role Details

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, leadership and other staff members to support student learning and wellbeing. Demonstrate sound judgement, initiative, and confidentiality.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups, adapting strategies and learning activities to meet diverse academic, behavioural, and social needs.
  • Under teacher direction, assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans by providing additional learning support and implementing intervention programmes.
  • Promote inclusive practices by supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
  • Undertaking yard duties and other supervision tasks in line with school procedures, ensuring student safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Uphold duty of care responsibilities, including awareness of child protection, wellbeing practices, and school procedures.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to actively supporting and contributing to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
