Role description

St John Bosco School is looking for a dynamic, innovative and collaborative Early Years teacher to join our team. 

Criteria:

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity, faith formation and ethos of St John Bosco School.
  • Share a deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary, innovative and inclusive pedagogies that are focused on learner engagement, explicit direct instruction, inquiry and co-constructed learning.
  • Demonstrate experience and capability in using assessment data to support planning and have highly developed skills in designing learning that supports all learners.
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with learners, colleagues, families and the broader community.
  • Nurture a positive culture for wellbeing with an emphasis on Restorative Practice.
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development as a lifelong learner and a reflective practitioner.

St John Bosco serves the Brooklyn Park community and surrounding suburbs as a Reception to Year 6 Catholic Parish School. We were founded by the Salesian Sisters in 1954, drawing inspiration from Saint John Bosco and Saint Maria Mazzarello.
