Role description
The Early Childhood Educators assist with the education and care program in the Ignatius Early Years and actively supports the provision of quality play based preschool and long day care for all children 3-5 years of age.
The College invites applications from Early Childhood Educators (Certificate III or Diploma educated) or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification, with an ability to demonstrate authentic, collaborative and supportive practices. You will be a nurturing and passionate educator and have the ability to provide quality preschool and long day care for all children.
- Variety of Casual Early Childhood Educator roles (Grade 2).
- Will need to be available for extended care 3pm to 6pm and Vacation Care periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have a good understanding of emergent curriculum in order to contribute to the development of the program within the early years.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework ‘Belonging, Being & Becoming’.
- Be a passionate educator and strive to uphold Ignatian values, Reggio Emilia Principles and ensure our Ignatian Early Years philosophy is reflected in daily practice.
- Plan, coordinate and implement an early learning program in collaboration with the IEY Director, year level team educators and teachers, and special needs support to meet the needs of all children.
- Competently use appropriate information technology for documenting learning of all children in liaison with classroom educators, classroom support and relief staff.
