First Aid Officer/Administration Support
Full Time
Damascus College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate First Aid Officer/Administration Support to join our Administration team. This is a great opportunity for a qualified first aid professional who enjoys working in a school environment and is passionate about supporting young people.
This important role is responsible for providing first aid care to students, staff and visitors, managing student health information and first aid resources and providing administrative support to Parent and Student Reception.
As a key member of our team, you will be the first point of contact for students requiring medical assistance and will play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our College community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide first aid to sick or injured students, staff and visitors and oversee the day to day operation of the sick bay
- Liaise with parents/carers and emergency contacts regarding student illness or injury
- Administer and accurately record student medication in accordance with approved medical plans and instructions
- Assist with emergency response situations and communicate effectively with emergency services and key College personnel
- Maintain first aid kits, medical supplies and equipment across the College
- Provide administrative support including assisting with incoming telephone calls and visitor enquiries during busy periods
