Role description
About the role
Our Lady of Lourdes Primary is an integral part of the faith community of Prahran East. Our Lady of Lourdes Primary is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the full-time position of Classroom Teacher to commence in August 2026.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. This position would be suitable for a teacher beginning or growing their career, as OLOL provides an experienced team with which to work.
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
- Well versed in contemporary teaching pedagogies and proficient in the analysis and use of data to inform their teaching.
- Possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.
- Appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.
