Role description

A permanent full time position commencing 4 August 2026 or by negotiation. The successful applicant will be required to lead a professional team to support and meet the pastoral and well-being needs of a year group (to be determined).

The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

  • A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • A commitment to promoting and embedding the school’s values in pastoral programs and practices.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student well-being and management.
  • The demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and work collaboratively with staff.
  • The demonstrated ability to support students with challenging behaviours.
  • The demonstrated ability to build a positive learning culture of high expectations for all with an emphasis on differentiated learning to meet the holistic needs of all students.
  • The ability to use data to discern the individual needs of students and be able to source appropriate support.
