Food Technology Support

Selection Criteria

 *Capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions in the Home Economics Area of the College

*Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with all members of the school community including students 

*Established proficiency in the use of kitchen equipment and technical equipment as relevant to the position.

*Ability to maintain an inventory of goods, place orders and receive goods

*Demonstrated capacity to undertake cleaning in a range of areas.
*A commitment to professional learning and growth.

* Ability and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

* Understanding OH&S legislation requirements applicable to this position.

Role

The occupant of this position must be able to demonstrate initiative and be capable of working independently whilst having the ability to follow instruction. A keen eye for detail and pride in presentation is also a requirement of this position. 

 

For twenty hours a week they will work in the Home Economics section of the College. It would be beneficial for the occupant to have a certificate in food handling. The successful applicant to obtain one if required.

Three hours per week the occupant will be involved in general cleaning around the College. The occupant must have a commitment to following OH&S requirements.

They will report directly to the Principal but at various times they will follow instructions from the Home Economics teacher and the Assistant Principal.
