Selection Criteria

SC 1 Demonstrated experience and skills in community development and coordinating community programs to support migrant families and their children.

SC 2 Demonstrated capacity to supervise the work of volunteers and external providers and to develop procedures and guidelines relating to the work area.

SC 3 Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, and the ability to liaise with all key stakeholders in a friendly and welcoming manner.

SC 4 Possess the technical knowledge and expertise to lead the Community Hub Program within the School.

SC 5 Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to the School Leadership and staff about building community partnerships and engagement.

SC 6 Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others, including the provision of relevant training opportunities for parents and migrant families.

Role

The Community Excellence Leader holds a strategic role, responsible for leading our Colleges multicultural and community engagement strategy. Acting as a multicultural bridge between families and our College, the Leader works with the Leadership Team to integrate diverse cultural, linguistic, and social demographics into day to day school life through the organisation of multicultural family events and other community-led initiatives. The initiatives will support our families and local community members, helping them to improve their social connection, language, literacy and parenting skills and assisting them to connect with community support services.The Leader has accountability…
