Role description
This is a classroom teaching role within a team-teaching environment in a year 2/3 composite class. Our students represent diverse, multicultural backgrounds, including many from non-English speaking families and some with complex learning needs.
Our key priorities are literacy, numeracy, and student wellbeing. Teachers are expected to develop and implement a variety of learning strategies that address the unique needs and backgrounds of our learners.
We promote proactive, positive student behaviour through supported initiatives, and provide effective intervention programs to reinforce classroom learning and support student achievement. Staff benefit from robust collaborative structures that support both teaching programs and professional development.
A strong emphasis is placed on developing partnerships with families and community.
Apply today by submitting your resume and answering the below questions in an application response:
Provide an example of how you have used assessment data to inform your teaching and improve student outcomes.
How do you ensure that your teaching is inclusive of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those with additional needs?
Describe a time you worked collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practice or student learning outcomes?
