Role description
This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP
The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of, the Authority. The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all students studying the Western Australian curriculum to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Authority has been licensing overseas school to implement the Western Australian curriculum under its International Education Program (IEP) for more than 38 years. The Authority is undertaking an expansion of its IEP in accordance with the State’s international education strategy and is currently working with schools across the globe to deliver the Western Australian curriculum.
The Role
The Authority is seeking to appoint staff who ideally have expertise in the Western Australian Years 7 to 12 curriculum and assessment to support ongoing delivery and expansion of the IEP. The role has a particular focus on senior secondary (Years 11 and 12), to fulfil responsibilities in the Science learning area delivering support in Chemistry and Physics courses.
Expertise in one or more senior secondary courses is highly regarded, along with the capacity to work across multiple disciplines. Demonstrated capability in the design, delivery and assessment of General and ATAR courses will be a key consideration in the selection process.
