Role description
This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026
At Riva Primary School, our vision is to imagine a better school, and become that better school, every day. We deliver this in alignment with our school values of respect, inclusion and achievement. As a rapidly growing, inclusive school, we are growing our team of over 130 staff, to continue to meet the needs of our 860 students.
Find out more about our school by visiting Riva Primary School or Schools Online.
The Role
Working alongside our current Librarian in a job-share arrangement, you would help create a welcoming environment that encourages students to explore, discover and develop a genuine love of reading.
As a Library Officer, you will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the library, supporting teaching and learning through the effective management of resources, library systems and services. You will maintain accurate records, process new resources, manage loans and returns, assist with stocktakes and ensure our collection remains accessible, organised and engaging. We use Accessit as our library management system, so experience with this would be useful, though is not a requirement.
We are ideally seeking a highly organised and dedicated individual who enjoys working as part of a team, with children, families and staff. The ideal applicant should combine strong administrative skills with a passion for books, literacy and learning, helping to bring our library to life through positive relationships, engaging displays and a commitment to ensuring every student can find their next great read.
