Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School is a coeducational government secondary school located in Guildford, NSW, catering to students from Year 7 through Year 12. As a partially selective Creative and Performing Arts school, it offers a distinctive specialist program that sets it apart from comprehensive high schools in the region. The school serves the diverse local Guildford community, with a particular focus on supporting refugee families and students who are new to Australia and require additional English and settlement support. This community context shapes the school's approach to inclusive, personalised learning and its commitment to providing diverse pathways — reflected in the vision that "every student creates their own success story." The Creative and Performing Arts program encompasses an exceptionally broad range of disciplines, including Dance (Contemporary, Asian, Middle Eastern, and Pasifika styles), Drama, Drumming, Music, Vocal performance, Visual Arts, and Circus. This specialist breadth, combined with the school's partial selectivity in CAPA, attracts students with a genuine passion for the arts from across the region. Beyond the performing arts specialisms, the school delivers a range of vocational pathways through VET courses and apprenticeships, ensuring students have access to practical, industry-aligned qualifications alongside their creative studies. The Educational Pathways Program is a named initiative at the school, further supporting students in navigating post-school transitions through structured guidance and diverse academic and vocational options. Together with the school's arts specialisms and vocational offerings, this program reflects a deliberate focus on preparing young people for life beyond the classroom.
