Role description
SACE AND MIDDLE YEARS TEACHER
Marree Aboriginal School is looking for a teacher to support our 2 year 11 SACE students in term 3 as our current SACE teacher will be on leave. This role requires the successful applicant to continue with the developed LAPS and planned curriculum. ensuring students are on track and completing the required SACE work towards their set units. The SACE stage one subject are Essential Maths and English, Community Studies, Aboriginal Studies and Health and Wellbeing. The class teacher has planned the sequence of learning and required assessment tasks and processes have been put in place at Marree Aboriginal School for drafting and feedback to be checked by the schools SACE Team. The successful applicant will need to be able to work as part of an established team and be able to communicate clearly and an understanding of SACE assessments is desirable. The role will also involve teaching across the school in the middle years class for Health and Physical Education (this includes delivering the KSC Curriculum and maintaining the Zones if Regulation check-ins and focus skill development).
Marree Aboriginal School is a small B-12 site located in the far north of South Australia, 690 kilometres from Adelaide. The Marree Township is accessible by bitumen and is at the junction of the Birdsville and Oodnadatta tracks. The residents of Marree derive from Aboriginal, Afghan and European heritage.
