Role description

The Grounds and Maintenance Support person is responsible for supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds including watering, weeding, mowing and line marking of ovals, preparation for sports day on the oval/grounds and for the maintenance of school facilities, buildings and grounds. It will be necessary for the incumbent to use their initiative in determining work place priorities and ensuring all aspects of the site are maintained to a high standard. The incumbent will be required to assist in security procedures across the site and the induction/advisement of contractors on site, in addition to consultation when works are being undertaken.

The Grounds Support person forms part of an overall team at the Flinders View Primary School, working closely with the WHS committee, reporting directly to the Principal.
