Location Profile
Hamilton Parklands School is located in South West Victoria on the edge of the Hamilton township. We provide a comprehensive education for students aged 5 to 18 years of age with an intellectual disability and the associated impairments. The school boasts modern facilities with well equiped classrooms and sports stadium, extensive play areas and student access to up to date technology. Our school is committed to helping each student reach their full potential in an environment that is happy, stimulating and safe.
We provide a curriculum that focuses on the learning of academic, technological and social skills. Each students program is based on individual need and makes use of practical, real life and relevant activities. The school uses a team approach and recognises the benefits of working closely with parents, mainstream schools, therapists and carers to provide a comprehensive education for every student. Behaviour Management is based around School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support. Specialist programs are offered for all students in Science, Music Health and Design Technology.
