Role description
Location Profile
Numurkah Primary School has an enrolment of approximately 152 students. Our workforce consists of one principal class officer, twelve teachers including two Learning Specialists, and six education support staff. We also have a wellbeing team consisting of a Wellbeing Leader, Disability Inclusion Co-ordinator, Psychologist and Speech Pathologist. We have seven classrooms, with specialist areas of PE, Art, Music and STEAM being conducted weekly. We promote social responsibility, and work to prepare students for an ever-changing world.
We promote values through the School-Wide Positive Behaviours Framework and state that, ¿At Numurkah Primary School we are learners, we are caring and we are proud¿. The school is very conscious of providing a range of social and educational programs to support the diverse and mobile socio-economic school population. Development of Literacy, Numeracy and Integrated Theme programs which support the needs of our students, remain our major focus. We continue to work on providing students with challenging but enjoyable activities, as well as special events across the year. Examples include: debating competition, family fun nights, visual arts displays, buddy activities, athletics, inter-school sport, swimming etc.
Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.
