Occupational Therapist

Selection Criteria

SC1. Demonstrated expertise in occupational therapy techniques, including conducting and student assessments, writing reports, and developing strategies and intervention plans to ensure optimal student outcomes and classroom engagement.

SC2. Demonstrated capacity to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based therapy programs and interventions both individual and group to support students with physical, sensory, emotional, or organisational challenges

SC3. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and positive member of a multidisciplinary allied health team, contributing to collaborative planning and coordinated support for students within a secondary school environment.

SC4. Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with teachers, school leaders, allied health professionals, students, and families, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

SC5. Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to write detailed and accurate reports, meet deadlines, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support Disability Inclusion Profile applications and student support planning.

SC6. A commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
