Coburg West Primary School, established in 1917 is located 9 kilometres north of Melbourne in a well-developed residential area. The school boasts modern facilities within a well-maintained and attractive setting to provide a pleasant and supportive environment that promotes student learning.

With a current enrolment of 326 students, Coburg West Primary School is committed to Excellence in Education. Teachers plan cooperatively at all year levels and in curriculum teams of Literacy, Numeracy and Student Wellbeing. In 2026, the school has 14 classes structured to compliment the Victorian Curriculum from Grade Prep to 6.
