Role description
Selection Criteria
KSC 1 Demonstrate strong communication skills as a first point of contact in a school office, including answering phone calls and assisting students, families, staff and members of the wider community at reception. Experienced in handling enquiries professionally, providing accurate information, directing matters to the appropriate staff member and maintaining a welcoming environment.
KSC 2 Competency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems) and the ability to quickly learn school-specific systems.
KSC 3 Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and any school information. Ability to follow policies, procedures and compliance requirements relevant to a school environment.
KSC 4 Capacity to contribute positively to the efficient operation of the school office and support the School Business Manager in delivering administrative services, with the willingness to be flexible and assist where needed in a small-scale, part-time role.
KSC 5 Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage deadlines within a small allocation of weekly hours.
KSC 6 Demonstrated capacity to work independently, follow school procedures and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
