Location Profile
East Loddon P-12 College serves the towns of Dingee, Mitiamo, Raywood, Calivil, Serpentine and surrounding areas. With a student population of 245, and an SFO of 0.4962. The college provides a spacious and unique learning environment within an isolated rural context, with students required to commute substantial distances to attend school. The College is a central hub within the district, with the surrounding community having been impacted due to the effects of rural demographics and prolonged drought. Community members regularly support the college by volunteering their time and expertise to enhance learning programs and extra curricula activities. East Loddon P-12 College has an experienced staff of teachers and educational support staff who have come to know the students and their families well. The P-12 nature of the College allows students to move through their education in a caring and supportive environment with 3 sub-school levels (P-4, 5-8 and 9-12). The college offers a broad curriculum, with student exchanges, career planning, ICT, cultural, sporting and social events, but with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.
Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.
