Selection Criteria

SC1    Demonstrated experience in strategic financial management in a school or complex organisational environment, including budgeting, forecasting, SRP management and financial reporting.

SC2    Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage staff, including Education Support teams, with a focus on performance development, accountability and positive workplace culture.

SC3   Demonstrated knowledge of human resource management processes including recruitment, payroll, workforce planning and compliance within a public sector or education setting.

SC4    Demonstrated ability to manage facilities, assets, OH&S systems and operational compliance, including experience coordinating maintenance, contractors and capital works projects.

SC5    Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with leadership teams, School Council, staff and external stakeholders.

Role

The Business Manager is a key member of the School Leadership Team and is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the school¿s financial, human resources, administration, facilities and compliance functions.

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Business Manager provides high-level advice and leadership to support effective decision-making across all operational areas of the school. The role ensures the efficient, compliant and strategic management of school resources to support improved student outcomes.
