Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary professional team and contribute significantly to the achievements of the team.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a comprehensive psychology service to schools including undertaking psychological assessments, counselling and referral for students and families.
Role
The position of Psychologist has a focus on:
Supporting the development and implementation of student wellbeing across the College.
Working collaboratively to implement programs for students deemed `At Risk¿.
Conducting psychological assessments, analysing results and implementing recommendations to support students.
Providing 1:1 counselling for students dealing with emotional, social and behavioural issues/concerns.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality case management and support to students.
Undertake individual and/or group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students to assist them in enhancing their capacity to self-manage their social, emotional and educational needs.
Administer assessments and diagnosis in order to provide advice to staff, students and families.
Keep thorough and extensive case notes to create transparency and accountability.
Work in collaboration with the broader wellbeing team.
Where appropriate, contribute to whole school, year level and small group programs.
Develop and implement Department of Education (DE) and College procedures and policies to support and foster the wellbeing of students.
