Role description
Dominican School is seeking a passionate and nurturing Reception Teacher to join our community on a fixed-term contract, commencing Term 3 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support young learners at the beginning of their educational journey in a nurturing and faith-based environment.
The Successful Applicant will:
- Actively support and promote the Catholic Ethos of Dominican School.
- Provide a nurturing and welcoming learning environment that teaches and supports student wellbeing including transition to school, personal responsibility, resilience and independence.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and utilise contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and excellent outcomes for young learners
- Demonstrate experience and capability in using evidenced based practices to inform the teaching of Early Years literacy and numeracy.
- Differentiate teaching strategies and classroom management to support students with differing academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Exhibit a high level of emotional intelligence, fostering positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing development as a lifelong learner and a reflective practitioner.
If the successful applicant is available, they will have the opportunity to be an important part of the transition program throughout Term 2.
