Role description
Kenmore Park Anangu School is part of a remote Anangu Community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY) Lands. Bring your teamwork, sense of humour, flexibility and solution seeking to a position that directly impacts positive outcomes for Anangu students.
We are seeking a Secondary teacher to join our tight-knit team. Our small primary and secondary cohorts are in adjoining rooms, and work closely together in both the western (Piranpa) and Anangu curriculum. For this reason, we're looking for someone who thrives on close collaboration with their Primary counterpart, from designing, to teaching and marking, as well as supporting each other for NIT.
The focus is to improve student outcomes and keep the school a strong positive place with high expectations. Curriculum focus areas include Pitjantjatjara Language, Two Way Science, the Arts, English EALD, Maths, Learning on Country and a special focus on the wellbeing of all in the school community. The school and individual classes are well supported by experienced Anangu Educators as part of the teaching teams.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a small remote community and contribute to the Kenmore Park School Community.
ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS TO APPLY:
1. What do you see as the key ingredients for in establishing, guiding and maintaining successful relationships with EALD students, colleagues, leadership and the broader community?
2. How do you ensure your teaching is inclusive of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander…
