Gilroy Catholic College is seeking a passionate HSIE/Commerce Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in an ongoing full-time role. This position focuses on Stage 5 HSIE/Commerce, with experience in Stage 6 Legal Studies and/or Business Studies and/or Economics highly regarded.

About The Role
The successful applicant will support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and contribute to the design, development and implementation of engaging curriculum within the HSIE Key Learning Area.
Create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that challenges and supports learners of diverse abilities
Deliver contemporary, syllabus-aligned HSIE and Commerce programs
Use a variety of effective teaching strategies, including technology-enhanced learning
Design and implement quality assessment and provide timely, constructive feedback
Differentiate learning to support students with diverse needs, including those with Personalised Plans
Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and communicate proactively with families
Contribute to curriculum development, faculty initiatives, and collaborative planning
Support student wellbeing through strong pastoral care and respectful relationships
Actively participate in professional learning and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Engage fully in the broader life of the College, including meetings, events, and co-curricular activities
About You
You are a dedicated educator who:
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in HSIE/Commerce
Has the ability to teach Stage 6 Legal Studies, Business Studies and/or Economics (desirable)
Understands how students learn and uses evidence-based pedagogy
Is skilled in differentiation and inclusive teaching practices
Builds positive, professional relationships with students, colleagues and families
Is organised, reflective and committed to professional growth
Supports the mission and values of Catholic education
