Freshwater Christian College is seeking a talented Science Teacher to join our Secondary School on a part-time basis, three days a week for Term 2 2026. This is a unique opportunity to join a faith-filled community where academic rigour meets deep pastoral care.

The Role

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in our Science department. You will be a mentor to young minds, ensuring our students are not only QCAA-compliant but globally competitive, scientifically literate, and “future-ready.”

• Developing and implementing high-quality lesson plans aligned with the Australian curriculum.
• Creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Participating in professional development and school-wide events.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s science program.
• Mentoring students and acting as a positive role model.

About You

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice.

Essential criteria:

1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching. 
2. Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
