Position Information
Prairiewood High School is a Year 7 to 12 comprehensive, co–educational and partially academically selective school of 1300 students. The school caters for a diverse student population with 1% of Aboriginal students and 87% of students from a wide range of non–English speaking backgrounds, including over 100 refugee students. The school has four Special Education classes. There are 60 academically selective students in each year group. The school is committed to extending its students within a culture that values excellence in teaching and learning; offers students and staff rich and innovative opportunities for learning and leadership and actively promotes wellbeing and positive relationships. Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) and Industrial Technology – Timber
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective and engaging teaching and learning programs which support a wide range of learners.
- Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.
Conditions
