Position Details
Canteen Manager
St Joseph’s is seeking a Canteen Manager to join our school team at St Joseph’s School. The Canteen creates and serves delicious and nutritious recess/lunch for the school staff and students to enjoy every day.
• 30 hours per week, 40 weeks/year (school holidays off).
• Daily hours of work are 7am – 1pm weekdays (6 hours per day).
Duties:
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the site.
• Organising and managing the daily orders and counter service.
• Catering for special diets and allergies.
• Providing catering for staff for Professional Learning and other special days.
• Maintaining food safety compliance.
• Shopping for and ordering food from suppliers.
• Daily cleaning of floors, equipment and workspaces.
• Assist with making breakfast for a limited number of students if required.
Selection Criteria
• Previous experience in a school canteen or similar.
• Cash handling and EFTPOS experience.
• Great communication skills and ability to show initiative.
• Experience in working unsupervised.
• Food Handling and Food Allergy training or willing to work towards.
• Driver’s licence (essential).
