This is a 21 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

The Role

Ocean Reef SHS is seeking an innovative and passionate English Teacher. This is an opportunity to join a high performing and well-resourced teaching team that adopts a collegial and supportive approach.

To be successful in this role you should display the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to deliver and assess the Western Australian English curriculum to Year 12 level. Within the English learning area delivery of the English Year 7 to 10 curriculum is complimented by literacy support and academic extension programs. Senior Secondary course offerings include General English, ATAR English and ATAR Literature.

The successful applicant should have highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff and community members. You should engage in reflective practice and should be committed to whole-school pedagogical approaches. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for the position.
