Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre is a vibrant and progressive Centre at Manly providing opportunities for students to explore their place within the bay through immersion in natural, built and cultural places.

As the Business Manager, you will provide regular strategic advice and manage the development and delivery of a range of corporate services in accordance with department policy. In line with the workforce plan as determined by the principal, you will lead and inspire the direction setting, development of services and facilities, and supervision of the support staff workforce.

About Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre

Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre is a vibrant and progressive Department of Education day visit centre at Manly on the edge of beautiful Moreton Bay (Quandamooka). Our authentic education programs from Prep-Year 12 allow students, teachers and the community to explore their place within Quandamooka through immersion in natural, heritage and cultural places.

You will discover animals, plants, water, people, places and stories that make this bay special.

Why this Role?

As Business Manager, you will actively participate in team decision making processes with regard to the provision of corporate services to support centre operations and seek out opportunities to challenge existing business service processes, recommending alternative approaches that drive process improvement. The role provides an efficient and effective interface between the school Principal and school community.

Capabilities and skills required include a high level of customer service whilst communicating with internal and external stakeholders, partners and an ability to demonstrate empathy, emotional understanding and support. Sound problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
