About You
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers with a passion for developing a love of learning in young people for this full-time position at the College. As a HSIE Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
- demonstrable support and commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education
- demonstrable success as a classroom teacher, with successful experience across a range of HSIE courses particularly in Stages 4 and 5
- ability to teach Geography in Stage 4 and 5 is advantageous
- ability and demonstrated experience in using data and high impact teaching strategies to maximise the learning growth of all students
- strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with other
- skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management.
Desirable Criteria:
- practising Catholic
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead a distinct advantage
- ability and willingness to lead and support a range of co-curricular events.
